One of the most important things to remember when shopping for wedding favors is that you should plan on setting a budget for wedding favors while you are setting the budgets for the other aspects of your wedding such as location, food, entertainment and transportation. This is very important because many couples who neglect to do this are often surprised by the cost of wedding favors. They mistakenly assume they can lump wedding favors into an incidental budget but soon realize the cost of wedding favors can really add up. This is because you typically purchase a wedding favor for each guest at your wedding. Each favor may only cost a few dollars but you have to multiply this amount by the number of guests at your wedding reception. As an example consider wedding favors which cost $2 per favor. If you plan on having 300 guests at your wedding the cost of the favors will be $600. As you can see this is certainly not an incidental amount.

Another thing to remember when shopping for wedding favors is that it is a good idea to purchase your wedding favors at least a few weeks before your wedding day. This is especially important if you want to have the favors or ribbons used to wrap the favors personalized with your names and the date of your wedding. This personalization often requires a couple of weeks lead time because your order has to be made especially for you instead of simply being shipped from a warehouse. Most companies will rush your order upon your request but there will typically be substantial fees involved with this service.

Another reason to shop for your wedding favors at least a few weeks before your wedding date is you will most likely have to wrap the favors once they arrive. You may be able to have the distributor wrap the gift but again this will most likely involve an additional. The fee for wrapping the favors may be charged per favor and can add up pretty quickly especially if you are having the order rushed. If you will be wrapping the favors yourself you will want to allow yourself enough time to do so without feeling rushed. It is important to remember that you will have a lot of last minute details to attend to so you most likely do not want to have to worry about wrapping wedding favors at the last minute.

One final thing to remember when shopping for wedding favors is that you should calculate all of the costs associated with the favor before deciding whether or not it will fit into your budget. There may be a base price for the item but there may be additional charges for personalization and costs associated with wrapping the favors. Even if you are wrapping the favors yourself you will still have the cost of wrapping paper, tape, ribbons and any other accessories you use to adorn the favors. It is a good idea to have the distributor supply you with a total cost for the favors including personalization and shipping before making your purchase. This will help to avoid misunderstandings about how much the favors will cost.

Shopping for Wedding Favors

Many couples have a great deal of trouble when shopping for wedding favors because they try to get the favors purchased in only one day or they wait for the last minute to start shopping for wedding favors and realize it is too late to order some of the items they are considering or wind up spending too much per favor because they are in a hurry and do not have time to comparison shop. This can be extremely frustrating but unfortunately it happens to a lot of couples who are trying to plan their wedding. However, if couples make shopping for wedding favors a priority during the wedding planning they may find the whole experience is a lot more enjoyable. This article will offer a few tips on the subject of shopping for wedding favors to help couples make the most of their wedding favor budget.

You never thought that wedding planning would be difficult. You thought that you can simply fulfill all your childhood dreams and everything will eventually fall into place. Now that you are preparing for your own wedding and you are faced with so many decisions, it doesn’t help that your husband-to-be keeps on telling you that you can do whatever you want, there are times when you feel like a child lost in the woods.

This is supposed to be a memorable occasion and you should be savoring every moment even while you are still the preparation stage. You do not have to do this on your own.

Dream weddings do not necessarily equate to traditional church weddings anymore, where the bride walks along the aisle with a length-train wedding dress and flowers on the side.

Women now dreams of a beach wedding in a tropical Caribbean paradise and the sand are between their toes while the sun shines brightly at the back—undoubtedly a spectacle of sunset.

Beach wedding is one kind of what we know as destination weddings. It is also called the location or eloping wedding. Another type of destination weddings is a garden one.

Fabulous as it maybe but destination weddings require a few considerations before it can be attained. A couple planning to wed may think first of the location, legal requirements, date, budget, and the travel and transportation first.
Because destination wedding is now a fad, couple need not to worry about where to wed. Several resorts now offer wedding packages. According to a survey online, the top beach wedding destination is Cancun, Mexico. It is followed by Mount Desert Island in Maine, Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Vancouver Island in British Columbia, and St Thomas in United States Virgin Islands.

For couples who may plan to marry abroad, applying for marriage certificates vary from one place to another. It is best to consult the local embassy of the foreign country regarding marriage requirements.

When the legal requirements have already been arranged and the place is set, choosing the best date is the next step. Considerations like season and weather are vital in choosing the date especially a successful beach weddings depend on a sunny day. Checking the season of the country at which a couple plan to wed is important. The local festivities is also a consideration since it affects the availability of many of the venues, suppliers, and transportation.

Another essential matter is the guest list. Invitations are also sent at least six months before the wedding to make sure the availability of the guests to travel.

A place offering outdoor activities is a plus. Activities like hiking, surfing, diving, snorkelling, cycling, and whale watching might add to a series of events organized for the wedding festivity.

Destination weddings require expensive logistics and transportation costs. In most cases, couples pay for accommodation and travel expenses of their guests. Otherwise, guests have to be informed.

Since travel and accommodations expenses get a large share of the budget in this kind of wedding, it is advisable to cut expenses in areas like bridal materials, invitations, flowers, and photography and videography. Trimming down the guest lists to family, relatives, and closest friends will also reduce cost.

Sometimes, couple opt for destination weddings and honeymoons all at once. An online survey listed Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Sydney, London, Tahiti, French Riviera, and Fiji as the top 10 most visited honeymoon places in world.

Destination weddings can be a small ceremony with a few friends or a large festivity with extended family and several friends. The former might be cheaper but either way, it is a couple’s prerogative.

After waiting for what seems to be a lifetime, you finally have found the right man and he has asked you to marry him. Now that you will soon become a wife to the man of your dreams, you won’t let anything ruin that special day, and you know how important wedding planning is from this moment on.

What are the things that you have to consider in planning for the big day? To help you remember every vital detail to make the event successful, happy and unforgettable, here are some of the vital things and reminders that you should not take for granted.

1. The date. You may have your preference, like your birthday or your anniversary, but you have to check the venue and the church first to make sure that they can still accommodate you on this schedule. If it is going to be a church wedding, you have to go to the location to check the availability of the date. While at it, ask about the pre-requisites, like how many days should be allotted on seminars or what other documents should you prepare and the fees that you have to pay.

Your partner will likely go along with whatever you want, including the day that you have chosen for this event. Even if this is the case, you should still update them about the latest changes on the plans to make sure that their own schedule won’t be jeopardized by these sudden changes.

2. People. Before you get to the printing shop to have the invitations done, you should create a list of guests so that you will have an idea how many people are you going to invite on your wedding. This way, you can have enough invitations to be printed. This will reduce the time that you will be wasting if you are going to have certain copies of invitations printed, only to find out later on that you need more.

3. Budget. Before proceeding with the rest of the plan, talk with your partner how much you two are willing to spend on this event. If you cannot allot so much money, it will be best to settle for simple events. You have to remember that soon, you are going to start a new life and this is when you will need enough resources to build a home and start a family or simply enjoy your lives together.

4. Venue. After you are certain about the budget, you can then choose the kind of venue that can be accommodated with your allotted money. Along with this, you should start planning about the food, flowers and other decors that will be utilized on the place. Most venues would offer you packages that include food and decors according to what you can afford.

5. Let other people know. After you have everything on paper and you are certain about the plans, you should start giving out the invitations to people whom you want to be there on your special day.

Wedding planning is hard, especially because you have to think about so many things all at once. This can also be fun, nonetheless, so make the most out of it. You have to enjoy the process to make it memorable and the wedding worth the planning and the wait.

For future brides, wedding planning is all about finding that perfect wedding dress. And why not? This is the best chance for them to show their future husband how beautiful his future wife could be once she wears that perfect gown.

Although there are so many bridal stores and shops that offer wedding dress, many future brides are finding it hard to wear what is they feel best for them. When the search for the gown has not even started, this would cause a delay in the entire wedding planning process.

Getting solutions

If you are one of those future brides who are having a hard time choosing ready-to-made wedding gowns or who’s having a hard time with their designers for not getting the style that they want, the best option for you would be to design your own wedding gown. Experts say that if you are the type of bride who would want to look totally unique, then you should learn how to design your own wedding gown. This task might seem daunting at first, but if you really want to do it your own way, you will overcome that “I couldn’t do it” mentality and start working.

Once you have decided to design your wedding gown, then the major consideration would be the time available. This is because the task itself would require so many time especially if you don’t have inborn knack for designing. If you are dating and would want to design your own wedding dress in the future, now is the best time to get started on it. If you think you have more than enough time to design your own wedding dress, then you must familiarize yourself with the basics.

To save time and money when designing your wedding dress, the first thing that you need to do is to conduct a research. This research should include the different body types for each wedding dress, various wedding dress shapes, materials that can be used, styles that are in trend, cuts that will fit you, colors, and basic sewing information. Once you are done with research, now is the time to proceed in the “design proper.”

Before you proceed, it is very important for you to determine your body type in order to know which dress shape would look good on you. If you have a tall frame, almost any style of wedding dress would look good on you. If you are petite, it is better to stick with clean style and cuts because too many intricacies in the design can be overwhelming for your frame. If you are pear shaped, it is safe to stick with A-line princess cut wedding dresses to avoid exposing your waist. If you do your research intently, you will discover that there are so many simple remedies when it comes to physical flaws.

When you are designing your gown to get started with your entire wedding planning, you should also familiarize yourself with different dress shapes and cuts for wedding gowns including straight line, empire cut, ball gown, mermaid, and others so you can create your own variation if needed.

Weddings are definitely one of the most anticipated events in any couple’s life. This is because this day finally seals their love for each other for as long as they live. But, if there is one thing that could be hard before this day finally comes, that would be wedding planning.

This becomes one of the most strenuous parts of any wedding because aside from all forms of stress that would arise, it will also be hard to handle it using your resources. If you are one of those couples who are planning to tie the knot soon but are on a strict budget, careful consideration on the aspects that would affect the wedding should be evaluated.

This is very important for you to identify which part of the wedding planning could cost you a lot of money for you to be able to find a way how to cut the expenses off. Experts say that one of things that cost a lot when it comes to weddings is the attires—the gown the bride will wear, the suit that the groom will use, and of course, the clothes that the people who are part of the wedding entourage will put on.

If you want to cut down on the cost of the attire, the best thing to do is to design them on your own. If you have a knack for designing—and even sewing—you can use your skills to pull off a budget-friendly wedding. How? Instead of hiring a designer that would do the sketches for you, you can do it on your own for instance, your wedding gown which you can design.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you were the one who will design your own wedding dress on your big day? Of course it would be. This is because you get the chance to make a statement with all the variations you want to create in your wedding dress. Today, because of the advent of technology and easy access to knowledge, more and more brides-to-be are getting into designing their own wedding dresses.

Unlike before when knowledge is limited in terms of design and its technicalities, modern brides can have their dream wedding dress created by themselves. Now, they can see their dream wedding dress created before their very own eyes the way they want it to be. If you want to design your own wedding dress, you can do it in two ways: by traditional sketching or using the “design your own wedding dress” programs in various bridal sites in the Internet. You can do the same for your groom and the people in your wedding entourage. Aside from saving money since you don’t have to pay the designer, you can also ensure that there will be uniformity when it comes to the styles and designs.

Aside from the attire during the wedding, other aspects that need consideration when wedding planning would include the venue which could either be in a church or in other places, the number of guests, and the reception party.

A wedding is one of the biggest events in a person’s life. It shouldn’t be the most stressful event but sometimes it turns out to be. The following is a set of wedding planning tips that are in a timeline form, to help you know when the best time to take care of each aspect of the wedding is. This should keep things from piling up at once, it’s much less hassle to gradually space planning out. If you are in need of some wedding planning tips, then you have come to the right place. Below, we are going to give you the same tips we gave our friend this past month when she had her wedding…

How much time before the wedding and what needs to take place:

12 Months - Book Ceremony and Reception Venue

10 to 11 Months – Book Caterer, Musicians, Photographer, and Videographer

8 to 9 Months - Book Florist, Cake, and Transportation

6 to 7 Months - Book Rentals; chairs, tables, etc.

6 Months – Review Contracts for Vendors

5 Months - Order Invitations and Flowers; Provide Music to the Musicians

4 Months – Order Wedding Cake; Meet with Caterer and get additional wedding planning tips

3 Months – Provide Menu to Caterer; Book Beauty Appointments; Check on Invitations; Meet with Officiant to Review Ceremony

2 Months - Confirm Arrangements with Vendors; Make Necessary Payments

1 Month - Consult with Photographer on Photo Choices; Confirm Music, Transportation, Flower Arrangements, and Rental Needs

2 Weeks - Confirm with All Vendors Again

1 Week - Make Sure Caterer has Final Numbers for Reception; Pay Vendors Final ChecksDay Before; Oversee Decoration of Ceremony and Reception Area

Hopefully, following these wedding planning tips will make things easier for you. There is so much to do and the time to do it all in seems to fly right by. Having a plan that is written out should make things easier. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. There’s only so much you can do on your own without making yourself frazzled.

The sand, the sounds, the smell of the beach: Is there anything as beautiful, or as romantic? Perhaps this is why you have chosen a beach wedding. Still, planning a beach themed wedding may seem like a great idea, but you must always remember your budget.

Chances are, even if you were able to do so, getting a private part of an oceanic beach would definitely hurt your wallet. Then there is the matter of the tides, and the weather, and proximity to mood-rending constructions like high-traffic roads and power lines. Not to fret though, there are scores of things you can do to recreate that sandy setting.

Many public lakes often have sandy beaches, particularly at camping sites so if you are adamant about the water and sand as physical things, then this would be your way to go.

But planning a beach themed wedding doesn’t actually have to involve the ocean, you could rent a gazebo or even us a large yard and use some simulation techniques.

The sound is the easiest to simulate. The waves rolling on the sandy shore, seagulls in the air, and a nice cool breeze can be easily remade with some decent rented speakers and an atmosphere cd you can find at Wal-Mart or other such stores for around 6 dollars or so. Perhaps a large fan as well.

The smell of course is harder. Try a local new age shop or cd store. They often have scented candle, incense, and oils that will do the trick.

The sand is easy. A funny approach would be a sand box, or you can by sand by the bag at a Menards or a general retailer.

Then all you need are some seashells, perhaps some fake starfish, all are easy to get. Just do not forget the beach balls!

As you can see, planning a beach themed wedding even if you can’t actually be at the ocean is easy. You may not have an oceanic beach, but wait until sunset and follow the tips above, and can create a memorable day.

When you are planning your wedding, you are really planning for two events, the ceremony and the reception. In most cases, the ceremony is rather solemn affair in which you publicly proclaim your love for your spouse in a church or other place of worship. It is about love, but in a more formal way. However, the reception is a time to celebrate your love with friends, family, food, music, and dancing. That is why so many people like wedding reception planning the best.

The first thing that you should think of as you plan your wedding reception is what you want your guests to do all night. Do you want them to dance or would you rather keep things more low key? What you do for music is key to answering that question.

A live band is a great option if you want dancing. A good band will know a variety of songs and be able to take requests. However, they are more expensive. That is why more people opt for a DJ to keep the tunes rolling. Really budget conscious weddings are now even going with a computer, some speakers, and a playlist.

You should also think about the food when you are doing your wedding reception planning. You can have a formal dinner with wait staff, a buffet style sit down dinner, or just hors d’oeuvres. The price goes down with each option, but so does the formality. Some guests like to have a set table at which to sit, merely because they don’t know many other guests at the wedding.
